About me

I am an experienced Integrative Relational Counsellor and Psychotherapist BA Hons MBACP, offering both long and short term, in person and outdoor therapy in Wimbledon and Marylebone.

From time to time, life can throw us off course, we might feel confused, overwhelmed, stuck, frightened or alone. It is not always easy to talk to friends and family. The counselling relationship offers a confidential, safe and consistent space to share and work through the problems we can find hard to bring up with others.

I offer support to adults and young people (12+) who are struggling with anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship troubles, panic attacks, self-harm, work-related issues, stress or burnout. You might be unsure of why you are feeling the way you do and simply want to feel differently.

As an Integrative Relational counsellor, I work with a range of different counselling and therapeutic approaches. I believe that how we feel about ourselves is intertwined with our relationships with others. I work with clients supporting them as they gain insight into repeating patterns and enabling their self-awareness. The intention being that as the work unfolds, clients start to notice changes in how they are feeling and relating to those around them.

What to Expect

Finding the the right therapist for you is so important and can feel like a big first step. With this in mind I offer every client a free 20 minute phone or online session to help you find out a little more about me and how we might work together. We would touch on what has brought you to therapy and how you would like to meet. If you decide to go ahead we would agree a suitable day and time to work into your schedule.

I offer sessions in person across two locations; in my therapy room in Wimbledon, a private, separate building in my garden. I also run an adolescent and young adult practise in Marylebone, Central London.  At either location we might agree to meet outdoors in one of the many parks or commons around London.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a keen interest and experience in working with young adults and adolescents as they face the challenges of school, university, family and working life. Successfully supporting clients to unpick, explore and relieve the pressures specific to this life stage.

I have experience in working with carers of all ages. Clients who are facing the challenge of a new medical diagnosis in themselves or a loved one. Along with people who are living with long–term chronic physical and mental health conditions.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
