About me

Life brings us challenges we didn't ask for that can leave us feeling lost and overwhelmed. You might be experiencing anxiety, difficulties in relationships or simply a feeling that something isn't quite right. You don't have to face this alone.

I'm Emily, and I offer a safe, non-judgmental and supportive space where you can talk openly about whatever's on your mind, allowing you to make sense of your thoughts and emotions. Together, we'll explore what matters most to you, at your pace, while being met with understanding, allowing you to feel more at ease and build the confidence to navigate the best way forward.

Integrative Counselling

My approach is integrative, drawing on different types of therapies to suit your unique needs. It's rooted in humanism, which values acceptance, autonomy and authenticity at the heart of the therapeutic relationship.

I have particular interest and experience in Person-Centred Therapy, Grief Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Internal Family Systems. This means I bring a deep understanding of how loss, relationship dynamics and upbringing shape our lives. I will also share practical tools and guidance such as grounding techniques, self-identity work and healthy coping strategies to support self-awareness and a greater sense of stability and wellbeing.

Person-Centred Therapy

The focus is on creating a supportive relationship where you feel heard, accepted and able to connect to your inner strengths to make meaningful changes.

Grief Therapy

Gentle support, guidance and information to understand and process emotions and adapt to life's changes after loss in all of its forms.

Transactional Analysis

Explores the patterns in how we relate to ourselves and others to improve communication, relationships and enhance emotional understanding.

Internal Family Systems

Helps build self-awareness, self-compassion, and promote healing through the understanding that we're made up of different parts with their own feelings and roles.
