About me

I am a UKCP-registered and accredited integrative psychotherapist (MA Dip HIP), in private practice since 2018. I am based in Fishponds, Bristol, in a quiet area near Oldbury Court Park, with free on-street parking. I offer mainly in-person sessions.

Whether you are looking for short-term or open-ended work, feel free to get in touch, by email or through my website. The first step will be to arrange a brief chat to help us decide if I am the right person for you, before we book your initial session.

You may want to work through a current or long-standing issue, life transitions, uncertainty; you desire to understand yourself better and improve your relationships. You may simply wish to talk, explore and feel your feelings. All you need to bring is the willingness to participate in whatever process wants to unfold within you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I obtained my Diploma and Master's degree in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC). I trained initially as a medical doctor and worked for over 20 years in healthcare. I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), the leading professional body for psychotherapy, with members who must meet rigorous training and practice standards.

The humanistic and integrative approach recognises the full potential of all people and brings to the forefront the importance of the relationship between the client and the therapist. In my work, I draw on a range of different therapeutic models, methods and philosophies to facilitate your unique process towards healing, learning and growth.

Visit my website at https://bristol-psychotherapy.org for more information about how I work and to request an initial phone call.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
