About me
Life can throw us all sorts of challenges. At times it can be tough. Perhaps you’re feeling anxious and overwhelmed or you’ve been holding onto too much for too long. Maybe you lack the confidence to move forward in ways that you’d like. You may feel low, stuck and disconnected from life and those around you.
How I can Help
I offer you a calm, non-judgmental space for you to explore your experiences and work through your concerns. It can be a relief to talk through what’s troubling you. I can help you make sense of things and find the resources to cope. Some of the changes clients report include improved mood, greater self-awareness, increased self-esteem and confidence, better communication and relationships with others.
My Approach
I work in a way that's collaborative, warm, accepting and responsive to you as an individual. As an integrative therapist, I draw on several approaches and adjust the work with respect for your preferences, needs and goals. We may work with the present, exploring your immediate and current experiences. We may also explore the past and seek to understand how earlier experiences influence you now. I see you as the expert on you and aim to understand you from your perspective, helping you to feel heard and understood.
Getting Started
The first session is about us beginning to get to know each other. You'll have the opportunity to get a sense of what it’s like to work with me, and choose whether you feel I’m the right therapist for you. It’s a chance for me begin to understand the concerns you're bringing and to see if my skills and experience are a good fit.
When we book a first session, I’ll email you details of the working arrangements. You can also find details on my website. I’ll be happy to discuss and provide clarification at any time, or answer any other questions you may have about my service. You're welcome to get in touch with any queries or to book a session. I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
