About me

The most important relationship we ever have is our relationship with ourselves. This primary relationship with ourself influences every other relationship we have and is the foundation on which we build our lives. The healthier and more empowered this relationship with ourself is, the healthier and more empowered and fulfilling our lives are. Attending to and nurturing this relationship with self is the most fundamentally powerful thing we can ever do.

I offer a safe and unconditional space for you to be heard and be free to explore your own relationship with yourself and help you process any experiences, habits or beliefs that may have negatively disrupted and impacted your sense of self and place in this world. Any experiences that told you that you were not good enough, not worthy enough, not safe enough, not lovable enough, not special enough or that told you that had no right to have any power or authority over your own life are experiences that need to be healed and released so that your connection with true self can be restored and re-established.

I understand that each person's therapeutic process is unique and, as an integrative, humanistic therapist, I draw on a number of therapeutic and coaching techniques to be able to support you. My intention is to hold the space and empower you to explore your inner world, process unwanted experiences and help you to resolve deeper feelings and unmet needs, understand what's driving any unwanted behaviours and perceptions and to help you find healthier, more sustainable ways to meet your needs and connect back in with yourself and your own innate strength, clarity and confidence.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
