About me
Hello, I have 10 years experience as a qualified counsellor, working in private practice from my home office. I am an Accredited Member of The National Counselling Society.
There are certain times in our lives when we struggle and may need help with problems or experiences which cause us emotional distress. During these times we may feel; sad, lonely, worried, afraid, hurt, abandoned, anxious or simply overwhelmed with life. These problems can arise from pressures at home or work, with our personal relationships or relationships with friends, through trauma, through bereavement and loss or may stem from early childhood experiences which cause us problems later on in life.
For whatever reason, it may not feel right or comfortable to share your problems with family or friends and it’s at times like this when many people decide to talk to a counsellor. The therapeutic relationship offers you a calm environment where you can speak openly in a safe, non-judgemental and confidential setting, where we can explore life’s problems together.
I use an integrated model of counselling, drawing upon many theoretical approaches including humanistic, psychodynamic & CBT which means I can offer you a flexible and person centred approach to counselling therapy. I am a qualified clinical hypnotherapist.
As a counselling therapist it is not my role to tell you what to do or to give advice, rather to help you on your journey of self exploration and self awareness, one that looks at past experiences and emotions,helping you to gain a deeper insight and understanding into how to move forward in your life.
I abide by a strict code of ethics laid down by my governing body and I understand the importance of providing a safe therapeutic space with secure boundaries, which allows us to work in a way which is most helpful to you.

I have an Advanced Diploma with Distiction in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
A Diploma in Hypnotherapy.

I have 10 years experience working as a Counsellor, during this time I have helped people of all ages and backgrounds. I have a special affinity with people on the autism spectrum and their families.
