About me
Need a trusted counsellor? As an experienced integrative therapist in North Dorset and the surrounding area. I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space for individuals to explore anxiety, depression, relationships, trauma, and more. Together, we can work on:
- Regaining control of your life
- Creating lasting change
- Deepen self-awareness
- Strengthen relationships
- Investing in your peace of mind
Taking that first step takes courage. Let's chat about how counselling can support you. Contact me for a no-obligation, free 20-minute appointment.
I came to this work not only through my training, but through my own life experience. Like many people, I have had periods in my life where my mental health has suffered. I know first-hand what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, stuck, and to struggle to ask for help.
I also know what it’s like to sit in the other chair and to experience how transformative it can be to have someone truly listen without judgement. That lived experience is central to how I work. It has taught me empathy, patience, and that recovery is not linear. It helps me to meet you as a fellow human being first, not just as a client.
I have done my own therapeutic work; I have regular supervision, am fully insured, and I am in a strong and stable place to support others. I don’t share my personal story in sessions - our focus is entirely on you - but my own journey informs the compassion, respect, and non-judgement I bring to my practice.
I particularly welcome clients who may be feeling anxious, low, or unsure if therapy is for them.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
Concessionary rate
I believe that financial circumstances should not be a barrier to accessing support, and I am committed to making therapy as accessible as possible. I offer a limited number of concessionary spaces at a reduced rate of £45 per online session, compared to my standard fee of £60. And £60 for In-person session, compared to £75.
These spaces are intended for individuals on a low income, including students, those who are unemployed, those in receipt of Universal Credit, and anyone who is otherwise unable to afford my full fee.
Veteran Concessionary rate
As a veteran myself, I know first-hand that the stigma around mental health in both veterans and those still serving is still very real, and it can stop us from asking for help. As part of my personal commitment to giving back to those who have served and who are still serving. I offer a reduced rate for all veterans, ex-service personnel and active members. I have a specific interest in supporting the Armed Forces community through the transition to civilian life and in working through the impact of service. I want to make health and wellbeing support as accessible as possible - please just mention your service when you get in touch to access the discounted rate.
All clients receiving a concessionary rate will receive the same level of commitment, confidentiality, and quality of care. There is no difference in the service provided. Spaces are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. If you feel you would benefit from a concessionary rate, please feel free to mention this when you contact me. There is no need to go into detail about your finances — a brief mention is enough, and it will be met without judgement .If my concessionary spaces are currently full, I am happy to add you to a waiting list or to signpost you to other low-cost services locally.
Further information
Mental health is just as important as physical health, yet it can still feel difficult to talk about because of the stigma and misunderstandings that surround it. Living with anxiety, depression, or stress can feel overwhelming and impact every part of your life. I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly at your own pace. As a qualified humanistic integrative counsellor, I work with empathy, active listening and genuine understanding to help you make sense of what you're experiencing and build practical, positive ways of coping.
I believe talking openly is how we break down barriers and create a more compassionate community. My role is to walk alongside you, one step at a time, to help you find a more positive path forward. Whether you prefer face-to-face sessions in the Dorset area or the flexibility of online sessions, I am here to support you in navigating life's challenges and moving towards a more fulfilling life. Let's take that journey together, at your pace.
I have a particular interest in supporting veterans, ex-service personnel, and those still serving in the HM Armed Forces, but I welcome anyone seeking support.
