About me
I exclusively use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to treat anxiety and depression. I only use tools proven to be effective, that way you have the best chance of recovery in the quickest time possible. CBT aims to treat your anxiety or low mood by exploring how your thoughts are affecting your emotions and the way you act. Treatment is proactive and you will be challenged to change!
Using CBT, typically only 10-20 treatment sessions are required.
Training, qualifications & experience
Experience:
I have years of experience working in the United Kingdom's National Health Service (NHS) as a type of mental health specialist known as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner working with those with common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression.
Then I moved up to becoming a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, overseeing the training, supervision and development of other therapists.
After this role, I trained as a High-Intensity CBT Therapist and set up a private practice working with patients.
University Qualifications:
I hold four university degrees in psychology:
- Abnormal and Clinical Psychology - Bachelor of Science (With Honours) - Anglia Ruskin University.
- Clinical and Cognitive Neuroscience - Master of Science (With honours) - Anglia Ruskin University.
- Evidenced-Based Low-intensity CBT - Postgraduate Certificate - University of Essex.
- Evidenced-Based High-Intensity CBT - Postgraduate Certificate - University of East Anglia.
Accreditation:
I am a BABCP accredited CBT therapist. Accreditation means that a CBT therapist has both core professional mental health training or recognised equivalent, as well as specific CBT training. To be accredited, members must demonstrate that they meet high standards of training and experience in CBT. They also commit to maintaining our standards of clinical practice, clinical supervision and continuing professional development. Accredited members are audited to ensure that they continue to meet these expectations.
Publications:
I am also the author of a therapy textbook aimed to help NHS therapists during their training and 6 self-help books.
- Low-Intensity Cognitive Behaviour Therapy; A Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) Handbook.
- Therapy for Depression made easy.
- Therapy for Panic Disorder and Agoraphobia made easy.
- Therapy for Panic Therapy for Phobias made easy.
- Therapy for OCD made easy.
- Therapy for Generalised Anxiety made easy.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
