The Eden Practice: David Buckler
My approach to counselling owes much to my own life experiences, my training and qualifications are important, though not as important as my commitment as a concerned fellow human being. I have a real understanding of just how difficult life can be and how sometimes we may need help. Above all, I appreciate how important it is to be heard and not judged. Counselling enables us to express our thoughts and feelings in order to make positive changes. Change may seem difficult and frightening to you right now; with help you can make those changes.
I have a great deal of experience in counselling for anxiety and depression, low self-esteem, bereavement and trauma. I also specialise in the counselling of young people, having worked extensively in secondary schools and colleges. Prior to this I was engaged in the treatment of substance and alcohol misuse.
My approach is totally none judgmental, being base upon the principles of humanistic practice offering clients the opportunity to explore their problems safely and confidentially. The process revolves around a very open and empathic counsellor/client therapeutic relationship.
Counselling need not be long term, solution focused brief tharapy might be preferred and is available to you. It is entirely your choice.
