I am a professional counsellor based in Glasgow. I offer a confidential and affordable counselling service for anyone who feels they need to talk things out in a safe and non-judgmental environment. My practice is in Crosshill, in the Southside of Glasgow, and I also rent out spaces in the city centre, close to many transport links, in G2 and G3 postcodes.
My practice is called Be Kind Rewind, because I think therapy is first and foremost about cultivating kindness (to yourself, and to others). Therapy can also be a chance to rewind and check your patterns (the ones that are helpful, and the ones that are not), and even re-write your script for life.
If you're on this website, then you've probably already decided that you wanted some counselling, whether that's the first time for you, or you're coming back to therapy at a different time in your life. Whatever is going on, it feels good to be truly heard, and to get in touch with yourself.
The experience of counselling can vary quite a lot depending on who you're working with, so it's important that you find someone you're comfortable with. One thing I'd like to make sure is that you feel safe and secure in the counselling relationship, and that you feel empowered to take your therapy where you want it to go. I'll be there with you to go to places that may feel painful or scary, and you can count on me to challenge your blocks and barriers. But ultimately, we will be going at your pace, respecting your boundaries, and following your agenda.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Level 4 professional qualification from the CPCAB in integrative counselling.
I have completed several bespoke CPD sessions on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Transactional Analysis, working with addiction, working with trauma, and working with dissociative disorders.
I'm an integrative counsellor: that means that I use different counselling theories and approaches in order to support clients, because I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach for therapy.
I'm used to working with diverse clients from different backgrounds, and different needs from therapy.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
