About me
Hi, I’m Claire - CBT Therapist & EMDR Practitioner
If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or trying to make sense of past experiences, you're in the right place. I specialise in helping adults work through trauma and PTSD, as well as the knock-on effects these can have - like people-pleasing, overthinking, avoidance, anxiety or low self-esteem.
I'm a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and EMDR Practitioner with over 14 years of experience in mental health. I’ve worked in the NHS for 8 years and a private mental health charity for 6 years, supporting people with a wide range of difficulties.
You might not be sure what kind of support you need - that’s completely okay. Whether you’re here because of something recent, or something that happened years ago, I’ll work with you to understand what’s going on and what will help.
I use evidence-based approaches like CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and CFT (Compassion-Focused Therapy), but therapy with me is always tailored to you as an individual. My style is warm, curious and collaborative - I’ll offer practical tools when they’re helpful, and space for deeper reflection when needed.
Clients often tell me they feel safe and really listened to in our sessions. It’s important to me that therapy feels like a space where you can be yourself - without judgement, pressure, or having to explain everything straight away.
I currently offer sessions online across the UK, and in person in Sevenoaks. If you'd like to explore working together, feel free to get in touch for a free 15-minute call to see if it feels like a good fit.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
