About me
Hello,
Thank you for stopping here and considering me as your psychotherapist. Coming into the therapy space can be a daunting experience. Even this first part- finding the right person that will fit what I need- can feel overwhelming.
This is why I offer an introductory session to allow both you and I can get a sense of how it will feel working together. When you work with me, you can expect a therapist that is warm, authentic, curious, and passionate about helping you find your way back to yourself. I am fascinated by how the stories we have inherited and the ones we tell ourselves can keep us stuck in a pattern that feels unbreakable. I also understand that sometimes talk therapy can be limiting. Which is why I incorporate somatic (body) psychotherapy into our work together. We will study you, your body, your stories, your patterns, and your relationships with the intention of changing things.
Therapeutic work takes time, and this timeline is different for each person I work with. I have found through experience that long-term work creates the deepest level of change; however, that doesn't mean that a shift in thinking can't happen in a shorter period of time.
I am highly adept at working with neurodivergent clients and have lived experience of neurodiversity. I work with a deep knowledge and understanding of trauma and PTSD. In particular, I am focused on childhood trauma and relational stress. I encourage opening up and exploring sexuality, religious trauma, and inherited sexual shame in my sessions. I feel, as a population, these concepts have been negatively interwoven into our experience of ourselves. Please reach out if you want to find out more.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
