About me

Life has a way of piling onto us and sometimes it's hard to recognise the effects of our experiences over time. This can lead to developing unhelpful coping skills in the moment, which are not conducive to a healthy and happy life. We need to adapt and find other ways of coping once the storm has passed, which can be difficult to do on your own.

As a qualified psychologist, I have experience in working with inpatient and community settings over the last 6 years. I specialise in working with Personality Disorder (EUPD, ASPD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and neurodevelopmental disorders (ADHD, LD, Autism).

I have been working in the mental health field for 8 years and have supported a number of individuals with different diagnoses, backgrounds, and characteristics. I am a registered forensic psychologist by background.

Starting therapy and asking for help can be scary, but I am here to support you throughout the process and make it as easy as possible for you to reach your full potential. There are lots of ways to help and this first step is already a milestone!

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a registered Forensic Psychologist and head of psychology with experience working in both inpatient and community settings. I am trained in and can offer a wide range of therapies including:

  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)

An initial assessment call will help me identify your needs and develop a treatment plan to suit your therapy goals.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
