Caroline Evans BA (Joint Hons) MA PGDipPsych BPC FPC
I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist with practices in N19 and in N6 on the Highgate/Crouch End borders.
I work with clients to think and talk about the present and the past and how these may be influencing current difficulties. We also explore what may be happening unconsciously to affect feelings, thoughts, relationships, symptoms and behaviours.
Gaining greater insight can then help to bring about long-lasting improvements in emotional well-being, more fulfilment and even a change in recurring symptoms.
I have particular experience working with anxiety, depression, relationship issues (eg jealousy), separation/attachment, anger, obsessions, bereavement, trauma, coping with physical health problems and even feelings of emptiness or a sense that something just isn't quite right.
First, we can arrange a time to speak briefly on the phone and then a consultation to talk in more depth about therapy and what you would like help with. If you would then like to begin therapy with me, we will agree a regular time and day each week and can meet more than once a week if needed.
Training, qualifications & experience
My training was completed at WPF Therapy and I have an MA in Psychoanalytic Studies from the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust.
In addition to private practice, I have previously offered psychotherapy at a charity and training organisation and counselling at a GP surgery within the NHS.
I am a Registered Member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC) and I adhere to their Codes of Ethics.
