About me
Working Online Given the current exceptional circumstances of covid19 I am able to offer the following: Online therapy with Zoom one of the video communications recommended by BACP. If you choose to work with me online I will use trusted and GDPR compliant technology applications in order to keep our work confidential. If you are feeling isolated or anxious in these times of uncertainty, remember these feelings and times will pass as all things must pass, however if you do feel you need to speak in a live video session please contact me on 07712812574 or e-mail me on carolebrooks.counsellor@hotmail.com Every so often we can come to a point in our lives when we feel confused or overwhelmed and our choices and options seem non-existent. Therapy can help us achieve a healthier understanding of our selves and consequently help us to make better or different choices in the future. By seeking therapy we can identify recurrent or stressful patterns of behaviour. it can also help us to accept who we are and liberate us from damaging and destructive thoughts. therapy is a passage of elation, self knowledge and discovery, frequently taxing but constantly rewarding.
I work integratively which means I have been trained in different models of therapy which I tailor to each individual client. I work in a non-judgemental, engaging way building a warm theraputic relationship allowing my clients to work at a speed which is best for them. Sessions last fifty minutes, normally weekly and are conducted from my purpose built, private, comfortable and peaceful therapy room in Carshalton SM5 |

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
