About me
Would you like to have someone listen to you with dignity, respect and without judgement? Would you like a safe space in which you can talk freely about yourself, your thoughts and your feelings?
Are you finding that the challenges and struggles in life can be difficult to cope with such as changes at home and at work due to circumstances personal to you or affected by others? I can help you talk through all that is troubling you and leaving you feeling overwhelmed. I can help you unravel thoughts and feelings that may feel very tangled up, to help you find clarity and gain a healthier perspective on situations, developing a personal awareness to guide your decisions and actions.
Investing in counselling can be extremely helpful and therapeutic to your mental, emotional and physical health, and ultimately to your feelings of fulfillment with your life.
Please visit my website: (carolascounselling.co.uk) where you will find more details about how counselling could help you and request a free telephone call to discuss what you are seeking to gain from counselling and ask questions, to help you decide if this is for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
MBACP, Adv.Dip.Integrative Counselling, PQDip.CYP, BSc, Cert Ed.
I am experienced counsellor with a background of 6 years work as a counsellor for a low-cost counselling service and the NHS. I have developed an in-depth understanding of work for large institutions especially the blue light services.
Through my training and work as an integrative counsellor, I use a range of therapeutic techniques based on different counselling theories with the aim of helping clients to address and explore specific thoughts, feelings and life experiences. This creates a variety of approaches that helps make the counselling process interesting, helpful and revealing for the client. This combines with developing my communication and listening skills bringing this together with my own level of maturity and life experience.
I have worked with a wide variety of people, backgrounds and problems. Some ways that I have been able to help them are: develop coping strategies; resolve anger issues; build personal confidence and self-belief; consider their values and work-life balance; develop resilience and feel better about themselves; manage their work and family life better; gain a better understanding of what has influenced them throughout their lives including their childhood; gain a greater awareness of unhelpful patterns or how destructive habits have developed.
Through talk therapy, I can help you find clarity, achieve a healthier perspective, and achieve greater fulfillment in your life.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
