About me
If you would like to try counselling sessions online, feel free to contact me and I can arrange a meeting through zoom or skype. If you have never done it before I can talk you through the set up, all you need is a private space, a phone or computer and internet access.
It can be difficult deciding to come to counselling and then choosing the right counsellor, so if you have any questions after reading my profile, please contact me by phone or email.
People often come to counselling for many reasons such as feeling stuck, confused, worried, angry, stressed, bereaved, or with issues surrounding addictions and trauma, counselling can help to overcome emotional disturbance, reduce confusion and support personal growth or change. Counselling can lead to increased well being, confidence, a greater understanding of difficulties and relationships, assertiveness, self-awareness, motivation and acceptance of difficult situations such as loss and change.
Whatever your reason for thinking of counselling please feel assured that you will be in an environment that is safe, professional, confidential, non-judgmental and supportive. I am a highly experienced therapist and CBT practitioner working in line with ethical guidelines. I am a fully accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and I adhere to their code of ethics, qualities and values. I am fully insured and hold a DBS certificate.
If you are unsure if counselling can help you then why not book an initial appointment. We can talk about your concerns and find out how counselling can work for you. I can answer any questions you might have and you can decide if counselling is right for you at this time and indeed if I am the right counsellor to help. There is no obligation to continue. The therapeutic relationship is important and you need to feel comfortable with your choice.
I offer short and long term therapy or with an integrative approach to suit your needs. I work with individuals, couple and families. I am experienced dealing with a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, relationships, loss, low self-esteem and depression and much more. I specialise in working with anxiety, low self-esteem and relationships difficulties.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
