About me

Welcome to My Counselling Services

Whether you're looking for in-person or online therapy, I am here to guide you through every step of the process. I offer face-to-face sessions as well as online sessions via Zoom or Skype, making it convenient for you to choose what best fits your needs. If you're new to online counselling, I can help with the setup—all you need is a private space, a phone or computer, and internet access.

Why Counselling?
People often seek counselling for many different reasons—feeling stuck, confused, worried, stressed, angry, grieving, or struggling with addictions or trauma. Counselling offers a space to explore your emotions, reduce confusion, and support your personal growth. It can lead to:

Greater emotional well-being and confidence
• Increased self-awareness and motivation
• Better understanding of relationships and personal challenges
Improved assertiveness and ability to handle change
If you’re feeling overwhelmed or uncertain, I’m here to help you find clarity and support during this time of your life.

A Safe, Professional, and Confidential Space
Choosing the right counsellor can feel daunting, but know that my approach is always non-judgmental, confidential, and fully supportive. I am a highly experienced therapist and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) practitioner, fully accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I adhere strictly to their ethical guidelines, values, and code of practice. Additionally, I am fully insured and hold an up-to-date DBS certificate.

How Counselling Works
Counselling is a deeply personal journey, and it’s important to feel comfortable with your choice of therapist. That’s why I offer an initial consultation with no obligation to continue. This allows us to discuss your concerns, answer any questions, and decide together if counselling is right for you at this time.

My Specializations and Approach
I offer both short- and long-term therapy with an integrative approach tailored to meet your unique needs. I work with individuals, couples, and families, helping them navigate a wide range of issues such as:

Anxiety and stress
 Low self-esteem
 Relationship difficulties
 Loss and grief
 Depression
 Trauma and addiction

My specialty lies in supporting those with anxiety, low self-esteem, and relationship issues, but I am experienced in helping with many other challenges as well.

Ready to Take the First Step?
If you're unsure whether counselling can help, feel free to book an initial appointment. We can explore your concerns and how therapy might support you, and you can see if I’m the right fit for your journey.

Contact me today via phone or email, and we can get started on a path toward healing and growth.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

I am a proud mother of two children. My journey into counselling began with personal circumstances that introduced me to its benefits and support. Inspired by my experiences, I trained as a counsellor because I am passionate about facilitating positive change to enhance individuals' ways of thinking and experiencing life, ultimately improving mental well-being.

After four years of training, I became a qualified therapist and have since gained considerable experience in various fields of counselling across multiple settings, including private practice. I worked as a syndicate counsellor with Peter Wyatt & Associates and volunteered at the Dove Project in Westcliff, which supports victims of domestic violence. Additionally, I have provided therapy at the Family Relationship Centre (part of the Relate Group), offering support to children and families, and I have worked for an agency providing therapy to children and families in school settings.
