About me

Are you experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem or relationship issues?

Do you:

-experience feelings such as anxiety, depression, overwhelm, anger, shame, guilt, sadness, loneliness, hopelessness
-Struggle with low self-esteem
-struggle with negative thoughts
-feel stuck, trapped or withdraw from things you usually enjoy
-use unhealthy coping mechanisms
-feel you have lost control
-feel relationships are strained
-or that you simply need to talk to someone

If so, I am here to help. I’m Briony, an experienced professional BACP qualified counsellor. Warm & never judgmental, I offer a safe space to work through your problems, distress & pain. Clients say I'm an excellent listener, caring, understanding with a good sense of humour. Working in the private & charity sector, I'm also a lecturer of counselling.

As an integrative counsellor I tailor sessions, using an intuitive approach to tailor sessions to your unique needs and life. This means working with you to find a way to understand your thoughts, feelings, actions or experiences and a way through your problems towards your goals and a happier & healthier you.

I understand it can be hard to reach out & ask for professional help. If it's easier to drop me a note, feel free to text or email. I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation where I’m happy to answer questions & to spend this time to get to know each other better so you can decide if I am the right counsellor to help you.

My role is to give you time and tools, to help you feel empowered and able to create positive change or to gain acceptance with problems.

I offer a choice of face to face, telephone, or video counselling sessions.

You don't have to do this alone.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
