About me

If you struggle with anxiety – your heart beating faster, your breathing rate increasing, having a sense of impending doom or feeling overwhelmed; maybe struggling with panic attacks, OCD, social or health anxiety - contact me to arrange a free 20 minutes telephone consultation and I can explain in more detail how I can help. Whether your anxiety is related to past trauma or it started recently, if we work together, we can create an individual treatment plan, tailored to your needs using evidence based approach to therapy.

My name is Barbara Pizl, and I am currently available to accept new clients in Crouch End and Online. I am a fully accredited Cognitive-Behavioural and Interpersonal Therapist, and I use chairwork to help people process difficult and often painful emotions. I specialise in PTSD and trauma, anxiety disorders, depression and low self-esteem. I believe therapy can help people walk through the dark times with compassion, support and hope, in order to be more aware and learn new skills to better manage one's mental health. Finding the right therapist is a really important part of the process. I offer a free 20 minutes telephone consultation, if you would like to see, if I am the right fit for you.

I offer face to face session in Haelan Clinic, in Crouch End (N8) and online video sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have been a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapy psychotherapist since 2016, and IPT Therapist since 2021, although I have been using CBT to help people with mental health issues since 2012. Before setting-up in private practice I have worked for the NHS for 14 years which remains the backbone of my work.
