About me
I am a clinical psychologist trained in the NHS. I have experience working with adults and young adults. Prior to training as a clinical psychologist, I held a number of research roles in national charities and worked as a social worker. I also hold an academic position teaching at a university.
I hope to offer a warm, thoughtful and supportive environment for people to make sense of some of their difficulties and explore areas of their life which they might want to grow and expand.
My approach draws on a range of psychological therapies, including psychodynamic, systemic and trauma informed approaches. Broadly, this means that I am interested in the feelings we have towards ourselves and others, including those we don't want to be in touch with; the ideas we and others may have about us and how we should live; and the way that difficult and unsafe experiences may impact our bodies and minds.
Feel free to get in touch for an introductory phone call.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
