About me

Hello, my name is Anne. I am a fully qualified counsellor trained to work with adults young people and  children. I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I have  over 16 years of experience working with adults, young people and children across Torbay and South Devon including within the  School Education System.

I have experience of working with a wide range of issues including abuse, anxiety, trauma, depression, confidence issues, relationship challenges and communication concerns .My area of expertise includes adults, young people and children on the autism spectrum with or without diagnosis and working with neurodiversity. I offer warm, friendly, safe and secure space to explore a range of challenges, difficulties and issues you or your child may be facing. Together, at a pace that suits you, we will discover ways for you to feel empowered in order for you to flourish and grow.

If you feel I can help, please send me an email or give me a call. I offer a free 20- minute, no obligation phone call to try and help you decide if  I am the right therapist for you.

Communication and relationships underpin all aspects of life whether in work, at home or in private. However, this can be challenging and fraught with complications. This can include social misunderstandings, maintaining  friendships and the ability to express  thoughts, feelings and behaviours successfully. This can make you feel socially isolated, anxious, and unfulfilled. Together we can explore these issues and find a way to improve communication, regulate and understand emotions, build resilience and responsibility, understand and empower to develop successful relationships.

I can promise you a warm and friendly  welcome and a genuine desire to help.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
