About me
I am a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, accredited with the BABCP. I have experience within private healthcare hospitals, currently working for the Priory Group. Within this role, I see a variety of clients on an individual basis and run group therapy sessions. I offer private CBT therapy for those who might be struggling with various presenting problems in relation to their mental health.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have training in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and can incorporate this into the sessions if needed, or can offer solely a DBT approach. DBT is a skills based programme which has four main components, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and mindfulness.
I predominantly work with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, phobias, sleep problems and stress. My clinical expertise is with adults, 18 and over.
Your treatment programme will be tailored to your needs. CBT is a collaborative approach, which means we will work together to make sense of your current presenting problems and what might be maintaining these. My style is practical, encouraging, and empathetic and involves an evidence-based approach. I want to help you make positive changes to see a difference in your life.
I offer an initial assessment session at a reduced rate.
