About me
I work with women who feel stuck in patterns they can’t seem to shift, particularly in relationships, self-worth, anxiety, and coping strategies that no longer feel helpful.
You might find yourself overthinking what you’ve said or done, giving a lot in relationships but not always receiving the same in return, or repeating dynamics that leave you feeling drained, anxious, or disconnected from yourself. Often, the women I work with are capable and insightful, but still feel that something deeper isn’t settling or shifting.
Many of my clients have experienced complex or long-standing trauma, and notice that this can show up not only emotionally, but physically through anxiety attacks, chronic tension, digestive issues, skin flare-ups, fatigue, or moments where the body feels overwhelmed, shut down, or disconnected. These responses can feel confusing, especially when they don’t seem to match what is happening externally.
Some clients also notice patterns of relying on coping strategies such as alcohol to manage emotional overwhelm or to take the edge off difficult internal states. In our work together, we approach this with curiosity and compassion, exploring what these strategies may have been helping you to manage, and how you might begin to find alternative ways of supporting yourself.
My approach is grounded in Gestalt therapy, which focuses on present-moment awareness and how your patterns are actively showing up in your life as you live it. Rather than only talking about experiences, we pay attention to what is happening in your thoughts, emotions, and body in real time. This helps create deeper awareness and opens up the possibility of change that feels embodied and sustainable.
I offer a warm, honest, and collaborative space where you can explore what’s going on for you at your own pace, while also being gently challenged where it feels helpful. My aim is to support you in developing a clearer and more connected sense of yourself, so that you can begin to respond to life in ways that feel more grounded and less driven by old patterns.
Alongside talking therapy, I may integrate elements of mindfulness or body awareness where appropriate, particularly if you find yourself feeling disconnected from your body or caught in cycles of anxiety, overthinking, or emotional overwhelm.
My work is also informed by a strong commitment to ongoing professional development and trauma-informed practice, with a particular focus on how emotional experience, the body, and long-standing coping patterns are interconnected. I am currently studying Compassionate Inquiry, developed by Dr Gabor Maté, which deepens my understanding of how trauma, relational experience, and adaptive survival strategies shape both emotional and physical wellbeing.
Before training as a therapist at The Gestalt Centre in London, I worked across a range of professional roles, including management and data analysis. This gives me a grounded understanding of the pressures many women face in balancing responsibility, expectation, and the internal experience of trying to hold everything together while feeling overwhelmed underneath.
Many of my clients are living with the impact of complex or long-standing experiences, including childhood emotional or physical abuse, difficult or unstable family environments (such as parental addiction), workplace bullying or harassment, and other relational trauma. Rather than focusing on the events themselves, our work explores how these experiences continue to affect your present-day sense of self, your relationships, and your relationship with your body.
My approach is gentle, collaborative, and paced according to what feels safe and manageable for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Gestalt Counselling from The Gestalt Centre in London and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), currently working towards accreditation.
Alongside my core training, I have undertaken further development in mindfulness, therapeutic yoga and body-based approaches, including Ho’oponopono, and continue to draw on these influences in my work.
I am currently studying Compassionate Inquiry, developed by Dr Gabor Maté, as part of my ongoing commitment to trauma-informed practice.
I have experience working with clients in private practice, with approximately 1,000 clinical hours to date.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
