About me
I am a person-centred counsellor and clinical supervisor with 20 years of experience living in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. I have a special interest in working with LGBTQ+ individuals and identity.
I identify as non-binary and gay, and I have been civilly partnered for 18 years. I grew up in Southern Africa and have lived in South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia.
I currently practice on Tuesday afternoons and Fridays with some evening availability.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified, registered counsellor with an honours degree in psychology and a Doctorate of Philosophy, having successfully defended my thesis entitled " Intersectionality and non-heterosexual British South Asian Women: A critical narrative analysis".
I also work as an operations manager for a mental health charity and have a postgraduate diploma in strategic management.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
