About me
People usually come to me because anxiety, trauma or intrusive thoughts are affecting their daily life, and they want to understand what’s going on and how to change it. My work is focused on helping you make sense of your reactions, understand the patterns behind them and find steadier, more manageable ways forward.
I’ve been working in therapeutic settings since 2011, starting in addiction recovery before moving into anxiety and trauma work. That experience taught me to look beyond symptoms and understand the emotional and psychological processes underneath. Over the years I’ve developed a clear focus on anxiety, trauma, phobias, intrusive or obsessive thoughts, self‑harm and generalised anxiety.
Alongside this, I have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent adults, including autistic, ADHD and dyslexic clients. Some people come to me because they want a therapist who understands sensory overload, emotional regulation difficulties or rigid thinking loops. Others simply want a space where they don’t have to mask or explain themselves. Whether neurodivergent or not, you will be met with an approach that adapts to how your mind works and what you need from therapy.
I offer counselling in Hertfordshire, Essex and online, supporting clients who want a calm, steady space to explore what’s happening and develop practical ways to cope. Whether you’re looking for anxiety counselling, trauma therapy or neurodiversity‑informed support, we work together at a pace that feels right for you.
In 2013 I completed specialist training in Recognising and Treating PTSD, and in 2024 I achieved a distinction in Clinical Supervision. These have strengthened the way I support both clients and other professionals.
Therapy with me is straightforward and collaborative. We look at what’s happening, why it might be happening and what will help you move forward. You set the pace, and I bring the experience, clarity and tools to help you understand yourself better and feel more in control of your life.
