Hello and welcome to my profile.
My name is Andrea.
Thank you for taking your time to browse through my details.
I am here because I have a deep passion for supporting individuals from a diverse background, to work through their problems, with the aim to obtain positive change.
Whilst you are here, I guess you would like to know whether I am the right person to choose to support you.
I have a background in nursing. As a Registered nurse I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience, over many years of caring for people with different health issues.
Since qualifying as a counsellor over the past 12 years, I have continued to develop my knowledge and skills, so that I will be able to support you with the most up to date
It is my aim to ensure that you feel relaxed and comfortable in my presence. For this reason, you can expect a non judgmental approach. You will always be the centre of our therapeutic relationship. This is said to be the key to a positive outcome.
Although I am trained to work with a range of emotional issues, I am very keen to work with you if you are experiencing anxiety, low self esteem, lack of self confidence and depression.
As an integrative counsellor, I am trained to work with different specialities, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). However, you can expect a flexible approach, since this will depend on our initial consultation session.

Training, qualifications & experience
- Regular CPD (Continue Professional Development) training
- Trained nurse with over 30 yrs experience, general nursing both private and NHS services.
- Currently training in Masters Practitioners Dip CBT
- Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy(Dip CP)
- Professional Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills.
- Licentiate Member (Dip Hip),
- Advanced level Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling.
- Covid - 19 Vaccinator (Foundation course)
These courses have received accreditation by the Royal College of Nursing. (RCN). I work with a range of issues and with all backgrounds.
My experience also includes volunteering at an Adult mental Health Drop-in Centre, talking with clients with varying degree of mental health issues, which is an invaluable experience.
I hold professional indemnity insurance covered by the Royal College of Nursing & Howden Insurance Brokers.
I also receive Supervision from a qualified Supervisor.
