About me

"Here to support you to manage your thoughts and feelings, which may have been holding you back from enjoying the good things life has to offer"
Hello! My name is Andrea, welcome!

How are you feeling today? Are you looking for support for your self or someone else? Have you been feeling anxious? Not able to sleep? Lonely? Angry? Sad? Not able to motivate yourself any longer? If any of these or other issues have been a barrier to achieving your goals and living your best life.  Then It doesn't have to be this way forever.

I have trained and worked in healthcare as a registered nurse for over 30yrs. My passion for supporting individuals continues and I have had further training and am currently working in private practice  as an accredited counselling psychotherapist. In the process I have gained invaluable experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and  who present with a wide range of issues.

The current world health crisis have raised more awareness of how circumstances can change the course of life.  It is not surprising to know that many people are trying to deal with the challenges. However we can make a difference by talking through your feelings and can help you manage and maintain stable mental health and well-being.  (You are not alone, but you are unique).

I use an integrative approach in my work based on your individual needs. It  means that I can combine different skills to fit into your treatment plan.  This helps to be flexible in your treatment as you journey through the process of therapy.

For example I may tap into skills such as mindfulness and relaxation exercise or another approach. Its basically to fit in with your holistic needs, but also depends on progress and your preference.  These skills can help you to gain more awareness and insight into your thoughts and emotions. You can also learn new skills to be used during the time when you are away from the sessions. A good way to stay motivated also.

I provide a private practice in which you will be able to feel safe and comfortable, to share your experience and to take whatever you need to get your life back on track.

I can help you with the following problems:

  • Anxiety
  • Work-related stress
  • Types of Depression
  • Self-confidence/self-esteem
  • Health-Related changes
  • Loneliness
  • Unwanted Habits

I am bound by the National Counselling Society's (NCS) Code of Ethics and professional conduct, whose aim is to ensure I am a safe and competent practitioner.
