About me

Hi my name is Amy,

I am a BACP Accredited psychodynamic psychotherapist/counsellor.

I work in the South Woodham Ferrers area, where I have had my private practice for over 4 years.

My room offers a safe, confidential and tranquil setting, where I can offer work to Children, Adolescents, Adults and Couples.

I can offer sand and art play for younger children.

I have experience in,

Abuse, stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, relationship difficulties.
In addition I have specialized experience in mental health, abuse, addictions and anger management as well as offering a children and young peoples counselling service.

I offer both long term and short term counselling in a professional, warm, approachable and safe environment. I pride myself on being adaptable, understanding, honest, and someone who respects and maintains confidentiality. As a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy I am bound by BACP code of ethics for good practice and I am fully insured.

I am an experienced Psychodynamic counsellor and a behaviour and attendance worker, across 14 Mid Essex secondary schools.
I have worked for the Children and Adolescents Mental Health team within the NHS, at a tier 2 level.
I also have experience in offering training to pupils in school, offering awareness to Self Harm.
I have my own private practice where I have been offering offering, psychodynamic counselling to Adults, Children and Adolescents for the past 5 years.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
