About me
If one thing’s for certain, it’s that life is never straight forward!
My name is Alexandra, a perfectly, imperfect human being and professional counsellor.
I am a warm and approachable person who is familiar with many of life’s challenges. Through lived experiences and successfully supporting other clients, I understand that there is a range of difficulties that you might be facing.
But you are not alone, and you have got my full attention. I am dedicated to listening to you, and sincerely care about understanding your life experiences, and how they are affecting you today.
How can I help you?
Not knowing which way to turn can feel scary and frustrating. Perhaps you:
- Suffer with anxiety or depression
- Feel numb or hopeless
- Feel isolated or misunderstood, making it difficult to form relationships
- Feel stuck or unsure about your next steps
- Feel worthless
- Feel out of alignment with your vision of life
- Feel unworthy or unloved
- Feel worried or fearful
- Are experiencing relationship, family or friendship difficulties
- Lack confidence or often compare yourself to others
- Lack a sense of who you truly are
- Are questioning your career path
- Are living with shame or guilt
- Are struggling to find balance
Whatever is holding you back, you might be seeking support as you navigate the route to a better you.
Facing challenges together, means that we can strive towards:
- Healing
- Growth
- Contentment
My decision to train and practice as a person-centred counsellor, lies within the fundamental belief, that forming a solid connection with a counsellor can:
- Promote self-development
- Facilitate change
- Allow you to take back control
So, how do I work?
You might feel uncertain about counselling and have lots of questions, but I am here to help you on your unique and personal journey.
A free telephone consultation is the perfect place to start, to establish how I can help you and how we will work together.
Forming and maintaining a genuine, therapeutic relationship, built upon trust and mutual respect, is the foundation of my practice. Throughout our sessions, I will work patiently alongside you, as we navigate sensitive topics and raw emotions. This should ensure that you feel:
- Heard
- Understood
- Empowered to feel or act differently
Working within a safe and confidential space, will allow us to freely explore thoughts, feelings and emotions, that could be preventing you from:
- Experiencing fulfilling relationships
- Living authentically
- Gaining satisfaction in areas of your life
You can rest assured that you will be met with kindness, acceptance, and an advocate for empowering others!
I look forward to supporting you

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
