About me
I am a Clinical Psychologist, member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC; Registration Number PYL040002). The HCPC provide assurances of safe and high standards of clinical practice.
I have an extensive background and expertise in adult mental health difficulties including working with individuals whom have a physical health diagnosis. I have worked across many different physical health services such as:
- Diabetes
- Cystic Fibrosis
- Cardiology
- Respiratory
- Prosthetic and Wheelchair
- Renal
and many more.
My approach to therapy is to help you develop a better understanding of your current difficulties and improve your overall quality of life. I understand asking for help isn't easy but in doing so, you are one step closer to where you want to be.
Training, qualifications & experience
Experience:
I currently work with adults experiencing a wide range of psychological and emotional difficulties both in the NHS and in private practice. I have worked with people who have experienced difficulties such as: depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, interpersonal difficulties, panic attacks and many more.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (D. Clin. Psy)
- MSc Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroimaging
- BSc Psychology

- Cognitive Analytical Therapy within Physical Health: 2-day course, Catalyse.
- Compassion Focused Therapy for Trauma: 2-day course, online training.
- HCR-20 Violence Risk Assessment Training: 1 day course, Ashworth High Secure Hospital
- SVR-20 Sexual Violence Risk Assessment Training: 1 day course, Ashworth High Secure Hospital.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
