About me

Are you finding life has quietly become overwhelming. Are you noticing anxiety, anger, or difficult emotions building up, and is this starting to affect your day-to-day life. For some people, this shows up in patterns like addiction, feeling disconnected, or coping in ways that no longer feel helpful. You don’t have to face this on your own. As a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with both professional and lived experience, I offer a compassionate, down-to-earth space where you can begin to make sense of what’s going on

I help people struggling with addiction, anxiety, anger, or overwhelming emotions. Drawing on my NHS and addictiom rehab experience, I use DBT, mindfulness, and practical coping strategies to explore underlying issues, process emotions, and build confidence, balance, and healthier ways of coping.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to turn, you’re not alone. Therapy can help you understand your emotions, break unhelpful patterns, and find greater balance. I invite you to take the first step and explore if we’re a good fit for working together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy (First Class) and an MSc in Psychology (BPS accredited). I have also completed professional training in further modalities including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills.

Alongside private practice, I work within the NHS as a Specialist Psychological Practitioner as well as previous experience in mental health and addiction services where I delivered both individual therapy and therapeutic group programmes. This includes experience facilitating structured groups focused on emotional regulation, self-compassion, and recovery from addictive behaviours.

My clinical experience includes supporting individuals with:

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Addiction and behavioural patterns
  • Emotional regulation and anger difficulties
  • Low self-esteem and identity concerns
  • Relationship and attachment challenges

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Psychological Society (BPS).

I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly engage in clinical supervision and training to ensure my practice remains ethical, reflective, and evidence-informed.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and many people feel unsure about where to begin. My aim is to create a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental environment where you feel comfortable exploring what is going on in your life.

Sessions provide an opportunity to slow down, reflect, and gain a deeper understanding of your emotional experiences and patterns. Together, we can work towards developing greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and practical ways of coping with challenges.

If you are considering counselling, you are welcome to reach out for an initial conversation to see whether working together feels like the right fit.
