About me
Clearer Skies Counselling & Holistic Therapies
with Aimee — Relational Counsellor & Reiki Master
Hi, I’m Aimee. If you’ve found your way here, you might be feeling a bit lost, overwhelmed, or tired of holding everything together on your own. Maybe you’re questioning who you are, why you feel the way you do, or why life just feels so heavy lately. If so, you’re in the right place — and you’re not the only one.
Who I work with
I support people who feel stuck, anxious, low in self-esteem or unsure of their identity. Many of my clients arrive feeling nervous about starting therapy — worried they’ll say the “wrong thing”, or that they won’t be understood. If that sounds familiar, please know I get it. I’ll meet you gently, at your pace, with warmth and curiosity.
My approach
I’m a relational counsellor, which means our therapeutic relationship is at the centre of the work. You and I build something safe and steady together, so you can explore the deeper stuff without shame or pressure. My foundation is in humanistic counselling based on transactional analysis — so we look at how your past experiences, patterns, and relationships have shaped the way you see yourself today.
Alongside traditional counselling, I also offer holistic support for those who are open to it. I’m a Reiki Master (Usui and Holy Fire) and often weave in grounding, energy work, and gentle practices for people who want a more integrated mind–body experience. And for those who prefer counselling on its own — that’s absolutely fine too.
Lived experience
Part of why I do this work is because I’ve been there myself. I know what it’s like to feel unsure of who you’re “supposed” to be, to shrink yourself for others, or to live by expectations that were never truly yours. My own journey back to myself is what fuels the way I show up for my clients — with compassion, honesty, and no judgement.
What you can expect
With me, you can expect:
A warm, calm, non-judgemental space
Someone who listens deeply and actually sees you
Support in exploring identity, boundaries, relationships, and self-worth
A gentle pace that respects where you’re at
The option to integrate holistic practices if helpful
A therapist who genuinely cares about you finding your voice again
Who I am outside the therapy room
I’m a big believer in balance and grounding. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me reading, wandering around in my campervan, or leaning into my own spiritual practices like Reiki and meditation. After 20 years working in education and wellbeing with children, families, and teachers, my passion has always been supporting people to feel more connected and confident within themselves.
If you’re ready
If any of this resonates — if you’re tired of feeling lost, or you’re curious about who you might be beneath the anxiety, the people-pleasing, or the self-doubt — I’d love to walk alongside you.
Reach out when you’re ready.
You don’t have to figure all of this out alone.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
