About me
Perhaps you’re finding life difficult at the moment, but you’re not quite sure how to put into words what’s going on. You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck, questioning yourself or struggling with confidence. Or perhaps something has changed in your life, and you’re finding it difficult to navigate what comes next.
Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin.
I offer warm, supportive and non-judgemental online and telephone counselling. As a person-centred counsellor, I believe that you are the expert in your own experience. My role is to offer you a safe, accepting and confidential space where you can explore what is happening for you, at your own pace and in a way that feels right for you.
I believe that a trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of counselling. I will listen with openness, empathy, and without judgement, giving you the space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without feeling that you need to have the answers. Together, we can explore what matters to you and what you would like to be different, supporting you to develop a greater understanding of yourself and find your own way forward.
I have experience supporting people through a range of challenges, with particular experience working with those who are:
- Navigating life transitions and periods of change
- Self-critical or struggling with confidence
- Processing difficult or painful experiences
- Experiencing anxiety, overwhelm or feeling emotionally stretched
- Feeling stuck, even when they can't quite explain why
- Professional Athletes and the pressures that come with sport
I also recognise that there aren't always words for how we feel. For some people, talking can be difficult, or words simply don't feel like the right way to express what is happening inside. Where it feels helpful to you, I offer opportunities to use art within sessions as another way of exploring and expressing your experiences. You don't need to consider yourself 'artistic' - there is no right or wrong way to use it.
Most importantly, I want counselling to be a space where you can feel heard, accepted, and able to be yourself. We can take things at your pace, without judgement or expectation, and explore whatever feels important to you.
If something in this profile resonates with you, you are welcome to get in touch to explore whether working together might feel right for you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Play Therapy UK is the largest organisation governing therapeutic play and play therapy in the United Kingdom. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
