About me

Hi!

I am a counsellor working from a person-centred approach. I offer online counselling sessions, providing a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can simply be yourself. You may be carrying a lot right now, and whatever you are feeling makes sense. You are not alone, and you do not have to face this on your own.

I work in a trauma-informed way and understand that our past experiences can quietly shape how we feel in the present. Together, we can gently explore what you have been through, always with care and sensitivity. There is no pressure to talk about anything before you feel ready, your safety, comfort, and sense of control are deeply important to me.

I have experience supporting individuals with a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, self-harm, experiences of abuse, and trauma. I recognise how overwhelming and isolating these experiences can feel, and I approach this work with compassion, patience, and respect. Whatever has brought you to counselling, you will be met with understanding rather than judgement.

At the heart of my work is a deep respect for you, your pace, and your boundaries. You are the expert in your own life, and therapy will be guided by your readiness and what feels right for you. I am here to walk alongside you with warmth, empathy, and genuine care, supporting you as you move towards healing, self-compassion, and a greater sense of ease within yourself.

What to expect
Counselling with me offers a calm, supportive space where you can speak freely and be heard without judgement. Sessions are shaped around you, your needs, and your pace. I will listen with empathy and care, supporting you to explore your experiences in a way that feels safe and manageable. You remain in control of what we talk about, and together we will work towards greater understanding, self-compassion, and healing.

Training, qualifications & experience

Qualifications & Training
I hold a First-Class Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, which has given me a solid foundation in supporting people with a wide range of experiences. I have completed training in pre-trial therapy, helping individuals navigate the challenges of legal proceedings with care and understanding, and I have undertaken trauma-informed training to ensure my work is sensitive, safe, and supportive.

I have also spent two years working with individuals who have experienced trauma and abuse, supporting them in a compassionate and gentle way. My training and experience guide my person-centred approach, allowing me to offer counselling that is respectful, empathetic, and paced according to what feels right for you.

Who I work with
I work with adults who may be experiencing emotional distress, feeling overwhelmed, or struggling with the impact of past or present experiences. You may be dealing with anxiety, low mood, self-harm, the effects of abuse or trauma, or simply feeling stuck or disconnected from yourself. You do not need to have everything figured out, you are welcome just as you are.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
