I am a very experienced, highly qualified BACP accredited counsellor with a special interest in helping young people and children. I am also able to offer DBT skills training which open my practice up to those with diagnosed mental health problems and difficulty regulating emotions.
I have recently trained with National Autistic Society to help people with ASD come to terms with their neurology and how being on “The Spectrum “ affects their mental health and well being. I now offer targeted therapy for the ever expanding number of individuals, and particularly young women, that are currently being assessed for ASD.
My years of experience have been gained through working in many different settings including, NHS, private health care provision, Employer Assisted Programs, The University of Winchester, schools, Charities (Mind and The Olive Branch, a Christian counselling service in Winchester and The Calm Centre, Harlow Essex). I have always also kept a busy private practice too, this allows clients total privacy and control over their own therapy. My central Winchester office is a quiet space where my clients come and look at how they have ended up feeling the way they do, and how their emotions impact the choices they make.
I can also offer a qualified, experienced children's counselling service. I work in a collaborative and creative way with young people using play and art to help with the stresses in young lives. Please contact me for details.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
