Supervision details
I work primarily with adults including those with neurodevelopmental disability and differences. Therefore, if you work with children and adolescents I think you would be better supervised with someone working with this client group.
Just like working with clients, you can expect me to meet you as a person first. I think it is important to work in a way that suits you as a person rather than trying to get you to 'fit' into certain 'boxes or moulds' or even work in the way I work. I am a big fan of discussing difference, mistakes and differing perspectives. I am always open to being told I am 'getting it wrong' or making mistakes and hope to hope to hold a containing space where you feel okay to bring this part of you too.
You can expect me to get to know you with genuine curiosity, interest in your life, warmth and humour. I aim not to be patronising or authoritarian in my approach.
I am currently offering sessions online only.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
