Supervision details

I see  supervision as a co-creative process, where both supervisor and supervisee engage in mutual learning and the generation of new insights. I embrace the notion that this relational framework, while occasionally challenging, is instrumental in enabling supervisees to cultivate their strengths and develop clarity and assurance in their therapeutic practice.

My practice is grounded in the belief that empowerment and collaborative exploration are essential to personal and professional growth. Central to my approach is the establishment of a nurturing and secure environment where supervisees can feel encouraged to delve into their experiences and confront challenges with confidence. I prioritise building relationships based on trust and mutual respect. I recognise the complexity of navigating power dynamics, autonomy, and ethical considerations, aiming always to foster sensitivity and promote understanding through thoughtful dialogue.

Ultimately, my goal is to empower supervisees to realise their full potential through reflection, dialogue, and ongoing growth. By creating a supportive space that encourages autonomy and fosters personal agency, I strive to nurture supervisees who are equipped to effectively support their clients while continuing to evolve in their own professional journey.

UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
