Supervisee testimonial - Holly (CBT)
Jack has been my supervisor for 3 years now and I feel so lucky to have benefitted from his skills and knowledge. Jack always begins by checking in with my well-being and we make a plan for supervision to utilise the time well. He is a great listener and brilliant at considering both mine and the clients perspective. Jack clearly but gently introduces concepts that I had not considered, often with examples of how this may work in practice. Jacks main strength is his ability to sit with client presentations and suggest an individual plan while using a variety of therapy approaches.
Since working with Jack my confidence as a therapist has skyrocketed and I understand the importance of both validation and acceptance of symptoms. Rather than getting caught up in the specific steps of an intervention, I am now confident in exploring presentations and working with what comes up. This has resulted in some of the strongest therapeutic relationships corresponding with significant positive feedback from clients. Jack is always encouraging me to reflect on my cases and I recognise how much my skills have developed since working together. He also suggests areas for development based on my strengths and weaknesses. I am never afraid to raise concerns about my work and I know that I will always be listened to and supported to improve as a therapist. I can’t thank him enough!
Supervisee testimonial - Kat (CBT)
Jack has really inspired my practice and provided guidance and wisdom on working creatively within CBT. He thinks outside the box and really connects with the core difficulties a client is experiencing. Thank you!
