Supervision details
I have been a supervisor in both the NHS and the charity sector for over ten years to clinicians at varying skill levels and come with a wealth of knowledge and experience in community, outpatient and inpatient services working with children and young people from birth to 25 years including those with additional needs.
I am also very experienced in providing consultation and reflective practice groups for Social Workers, teaching staff and other non-clinical colleagues within the health and care sector in a number of inner-city London boroughs.
Supervision is a key element of clinical practice to offer personal and professional guidance and development. Providing a safe, structured and containing space is essential in my mind for you to reflect on your practice, feel safe to develop skills (through case discussion, presentation and role play), to work with feedback opportunities, to collaborate in developing formulation and treatment plans and to receive guidance on therapy and models. Supervision also provides an opportunity to consider career development.
The above can only occur if a strong supervisory relationship is established, necessitating a flexible and adaptive approach depending on the supervisees' needs.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
