Sian Lloyd
I am a UKCP registered supervisor, offering individual and group supervision to counsellors, psychotherapists, coaches and other health professionals.
Willing to supervise candidates in training, and familiar with working to BACP, UKCP, BPS and several other codes of conduct and ethics.
Also available to work with groups of health professionals such as GP practice staff, mental health, social and care workers. Training in enhanced self-supervision is also available.
My approach is generally curiosity-driven and constructivist in orientation. This is ideal for jointly exploring and resolving difficult issues ethically and without judgement, as well as ensuring safe and professional practice. The balance of clinical/case discussion vs. personal support tends to vary according to need. I draw on Jungian analytical concepts together with a wide range of modern therapeutic approaches to help understand the interplay of conscious and unconscious influences, relational dynamics, and existential themes that all contribute to what happens in the therapeutic space. Providing excellent emotional support can be both rewarding and demanding; professional practitioners need and deserve their own source of support.
