Supervisor Shanta Batacharia - MBACP Accrd, UKRCP, CBT Therapist
Hello and welcome, I can feel how difficult it is to find the right supervisor. It is unknown territory. You expect to develop a trusting relationship with your supervisor. You need to feel free to discuss your clinical work openly and to receive honest feedback. You need to experience being heard, understood and held at the same time. The relationship will be genuine and honest and you will gain from your own experience and experience of others. At the same time you make your own judgement about boundaries and ethics. You decide what to discuss at supervision group and what to discuss in personal therapy. I hope I clarified my role as a clinical supervisor.
I am an experienced supervisor and have worked at Mind for the past 15 years supervising both trainee and trained counsellors .I also supervisee counsellors at GP practices My aim is to build a healthy team whereby one can learn from one another without disturbing the boundaries. I aim to be reflective and coherent. I support the emotional and practical needs of both counsellors and clients.
