Ware, Hertfordshire, SG12

I have been working with clients for some 20 years. Although my initial training was a dual theory course (psychodynamic and client centred), I am always open to different ways of working and welcome enquiries form supervisees from a range of theoretical backgrounds where the therapeutic relationship is considered of paramount importance. I have been particularly influenced by a number of recent trainings in the trauma field which prioritises safety in the therapeutic relationship as a first step to processing traumatic memories

My main experience has been working with individual adults although I do have some experience of working with older teenagers (16+). I currently work in private practice but have experience of working in the voluntary sector including specialised addiction agencies and the NHS having worked in GP surgeries for a number of years. I have also worked as a trainer delivering a range of personal development and psycho educational programs.

I have experience in working with both individual supervisees and facilitating supervision groups. My aim is to provide both a supportive and challenging environment where I hope that supervisees will feel safe enough to bring any feelings, thoughts and concerns they may have about the therapeutic process and will feel sufficiently empowered to try new things as and when appropriate.

I welcome enquiries from both qualified and trainee counsellors. If you have colleagues who are interested in reducing the cost of supervision and are interested in setting up a group please contact me for details.

In addition I welcome enquiries from other helping professionals who are interested in accessing some confidential support for their work.

My fees:

1 hour session £50
1.5 hour session £70

I have a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Supervision from the Albany Centre, St. Albans.

I have a dedicated consulting room 5 minutes from Ware town centre and 10 minutes from the local train station. Parking is available on the road.
