Supervision details
As a clinician, I know the value of having the space to reflect on your work with a fellow professional. My approach to supervision includes creating a safe and welcoming space to discuss clinical cases, topics related to training, and your health and wellness. If you are a trainee, I am also willing to assist with coursework. I am person-centred in my supervision and clinical work, so ultimately what we discuss in each session is based on whatever your need is at that time. Supervision with me is unstructured and follows the needs of the supervisee, whatever they may be.
I have completed the British Psychological Society Supervision Skills course needed to become a registered applied practice supervisor. I am also a counselling psychologist in the UK and a licensed professional counsellor in the US. Between the two countries I have approximately 8 years of very diverse experience. I can assist with individual, group, family, and relationship clinical work. I am an integrative therapist with a person-centred base. I integrate many other forms of therapy including dialectical behaviour therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed cognitive behavioural therapy, and some internal family systems therapy, to name a few. My education includes a BSc in psychology, a MSc in mental health counselling, a MSc in social anthropology, a MSc in the psychology of mental health, and a DPsych in counselling psychology.
My fees for individual supervision are £70 for a qualified clinician and £50 for a trainee. Supervision sessions last for 55 minutes. The frequency of supervision is based on the needs of the supervisee. I am only able to offer virtual supervision sessions at this time.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
