My specialist area of expertise is the use of mindfulness and meditation in therapy, particularly as part of Third Wave CBT approaches. So, if you would like to develop your skills in that area, I can help.
I have been qualified for 9 years and have been in private practice for 7. I have been meditating seriously for 10 years and have done lots of retreats, studied with teachers in different traditions, etc.
Since starting private practice, my passion has been bringing mindfulness and meditation into therapy, and I have worked hard at finding the best ways to do it.
ACT is the model that comes closest to being a mindfulness-based individual therapy, and so it is the model that I am most closely allied with. I have written two self-help books on applying ACT to anxiety and depression, respectively.
If you would like to know more and perhaps have an introductory chat, please send me a message and/or book in a half-hour free initial consultation via my website.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
