Supervision details
I am able to offer supervision in person or online and am happy to have an informal initial conversation to establish whether a supervisory relationship with me would work for you. My clinic space is conveniently located just off the M4 Junction 37. I am a highly specialist clinical psychologist and academic. I have over twenty years of experience working in mental health and worked for ten years as a clinical psychologist in the NHS in child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS). During my time at CAMHS I specialised in working with children/families with eating disorders, autism and complex trauma (PTSD) and attachment disorder. I also have experience in specialist health psychology settings and experience outside of mainstream services of delivery of mind-body medicine interventions. As a clinical psychologist, all of my work is formulation driven and this would form the basis of our supervision framework. I have experience using a range of approaches including humanistic, CBT, narrative, systemic and psychoanalytic approaches which allows me to work integratively.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
