Dr Rachael Hunter
I am a highly specialist clinical psychologist and academic. I have over twenty years of experience working in mental health and worked for ten years as a clinical psychologist in the NHS in child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS). During my time at CAMHS I specialised in working with children/families with eating disorders, autism and trauma (PTSD) and attachment disorder. I also have experience in specialist health settings including burns, renal, haematology and neurology. I have experience outside of mainstream services of delivery of mind-body medicine interventions including health retreats and am able to offer consultation to therapists looking to explore these ways of working.
As a clinical psychologist, all of my work is formulation driven and this would form the basis of our supervision framework. I have experience using a range of approaches including humanistic, CBT, narrative, systemic and psychoanalytic approaches which allows me to work integratively. I can offer supervision to therapists who work with children, adolescents and families, or to those who want to enhance their practice to be more holistic or explore mind-body medicine approaches.
I am able to offer supervision in person or online and am happy to have an informal initial conversation to establish whether a supervisory relationship with me would work for you. My clinic room is conveniently located jut off the M4, minutes from Junction 37. Alternatively, online supervision can also be offered.
