Supervision details
Being a Supervisor is a privilege as I get to work with established Counsellors offering support and guidance, sharing best practice and continued personal development. At the same time I work with student counsellors who are just starting their placement hours, which can be incredibly daunting, allowing them to develop their own style, sharing my experiences and giving them the confidence to grow. The most essential part of choosing a supervisor is ensuring our personalities and approaches are in tune in order to create a strong, trusting and personal relationship which will flourish over time. My counselling style is person centred combined with CBT but I am flexible on all methods as I continue to expand my own personal development and believe, as counsellors, we never stop learning and growing. I cover a broad range of counselling clients which ensures I am able to use this experience with my supervisees in order to explore different approaches. My wish is to create an environment based on mutual respect, openness, relaxation and occasionally humour in what can be a lonely and difficult profession and to ensure the well-being of supervisees is at the forefront of our sessions. You cannot support others if you do not look after yourself. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and if you would like an initial discussion please message me for a chat.
