  • >Supervisor Rual Gibson

I am a qualified and experienced clinical and counselling supervisor both in private practise and for the NHS.  I work one to work or in a group of up to four supervisees.

I use a relational approach to my supervision and will draw from my original psychodynamic training to work with the unconscious processes of transference and counter transference between client, counsellor and supervisor.  Having worked as a supervisor for many high pressured services, I have developed a particular interest in "burn out" and how best to avoid it!

I believe that supervision is a necessity that ensures good quality and safe practise whilst at the same time allowing the practitioner to develop both professionally and personally.

My fees are £55 per hour

Group supervision is £55 per hour - split equally between supervisees

I offer concessions to counsellors in training and to newly qualified therapists.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
