Supervision details
I hold an an MSc in person-centred psychotherapy from Metanoia Institute and a Certificate in Supervision through an Intersectional Lens from TA East.
I am really interested in working with people who work with people. By that I mean that whether you're a therapist, a counsellor, a social worker, teacher, SEND leader, you will be listening to other people talking about their struggles and that may be impacting you in a variety of ways.
As a therapist/counsellor it is an ethical and moral need that you take your work to someone is able to support you to explore yourself in relationship to your clients. For those from other backgrounds it is a space to share your dilemmas around what you are facing in your work.
My aim in our work is to offer you:
* a space where you are able to bring all of you and your work
* a supportive and collaborative relationship
* a space for exploration and questioning without judgement
* a space where you can try out your ideas and discover what feels right for you
* a partnership - I see myself a facilitator rather than an overseer of you and your work
* a space to ensure we consider our own and our clients intersects and issues of power
Ultimately, we want to be able to the best version of ourselves in our work with our clients.
If these aims resonate for you, let's chat.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
