Supervision details
Hello and a very warm welcome to my supervision profile.
I am an accredited Psychotherapist and experienced Clinical Supervisor and I offer the facilitation of supervision to:
- Individuals
- Groups
I am able to supervise adult client work and I have specific therapeutic qualifications that enable me to supervise the practice of children and young people. I have a number of years of experience which I will draw on within our meetings. My knowledge comes from my continuous commitment to further study, my experience within clinical practice (service and private) where I have facilitated many thousands of client hours/supervision hours, plus a felt sense to relevant life experience.
In addition, I have a number of years experience of facilitating group supervision within counselling/wellbeing organisations and within schools.
I offer supervision to qualified counsellors/psychotherapists, Trainee Therapists, Educational staff, and other social care practitioners.
I am a approved supervisor for the following services:
- Leeds Beckett University
- Kirklees College
- Leeds City College
- Bradford Rape Crisis
- Northpoint Wellbeing
I use an integrative and collaborative approach to supervision, where I anticipate that we would work intuitively and holistically together.
I hold specific interest and further qualifications which deeper knowledge in the areas of:
- Anxious feelings and Panic
- Bereavement, Grief, Loss
- Traumatic Stress and flashbacks
- The ongoing effects of toxic stress in early childhood
- Domestic and Sexual Abuse in which I hold a Masters Degree
Supervision meetings can be held via the online platform zoom or face to face within a comfortable therapy room, or in fact a combination of both (Please note that my therapy room is within a converted outbuilding and may become colder during a heavy winter season. In this case a combination of face to face and online working through a small part of the main winter months may be necessary)
If you are considering the possibility of working with me, I offer an initial 15 minutes zoom meeting so that we are able to meet and decide if we are able to work together. My availability is variable throughout the week and we can discuss current/if there is availability at the time of our contact.
Ongoing fees for Supervisees will be as follows:
£55.00 for 1 hour
£82.50 for 1.5 hours.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you be interested in undertaking supervision with me, I will be glad to answer any questions that you have.
I look forward to meeting you.
Testimonial's
"Michelle was critical to how our organisation grew in the period that she worked with us. The feedback was always that she helped our practitioners deal with the issues they were facing, gave real, down to earth support and guidance and was always incredibly professional. Michelle allowed us to work following BACP guidelines and ensured our team were always working within their means and ethically. I would strongly recommend Michelle to any organisation, big or small, for clinical supervision or any other consultancy services."

"Being my first experience of supervisor/supervisee relationship, I was initially quite nervous as I knew how important this aspect of being a Counsellor is. The supervision is key in developing myself as an effective Counsellor. I did feel confident in my choice to work with Michelle, from our first meeting I had a good feeling about the connection that we could develop. I was keen to form a relationship that would help me to grow and progress. Michelle is a big part of my continuing development; she encourages reflection on my client work and together we look deeper into my understanding of each client's experience. I do fully trust our supervision space and feel able to bring any issues that arise. As my counselling journey continues, I hope to take even more from our sessions and feel that Michelle will enable me to become more explorative in order to improve my Counsellor/Client relationships"
