Lou Birks MA MBACP Counselling/Psychotherapy & Supervision
I am trained in Peter Hawkins and Robin Shoet’s Seven Eyed Model of Supervision and work as an integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist in private practice. I recently took the decision to focus my work with on-line clients, using video link and/or telephone, though I do have extensive experience of face to face work.
I see supervision as a place to consolidate professional practice and support your way of working with each client, in order to ensure that you are being the most potent you can be as a therapist. I see it as a place of mutual respect, safety and professional development, a place to grow and gain in both confidence and competency in your practice. I bring encouragement and support, a friendly listening ear, a keen analytical mind, alongside an intuitive response and creative thinking regarding you and your practice.
Supervision with me ensures that you are working in a boundaried, self-reflective and conscientious way, and according to your professional bodies’ ethical guidelines.
The first supervision session will be about identifying what you need as a supervisee, how I might provide that, and to be sure that we can work productively together. I offer this as a complementary half hour. Following that my supervision fees are:
60 minutes £50
90 minutes £70
