Durham DH1 & Chester Le Street DH3

I qualified as a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor in 1999 and have expanded on my knowledge and experience over the years to include becoming a qualified EMDR therapist, working with alternative ways of communication and the subconscious.  I have worked with adult survivors of abuse and with MIND mental health charity.  Since 2002 I have worked as a GP Counsellor within GP practices dealing with a wide variety of referrals. I became an Accredited Registered Member of the BACP in 2004.

I qualified as a Counselling Supervisor in 2016/17 with CASCADE which was founded by Bridgid Proctor and Francesca Inskip, and have subsequently worked with supervisees in both private practice and in a hospice setting.  I believe in creating a positive, affirming and confidential working relationship with the Supervisee, thereby allowing a safe environment for gentle challenge to support Professional/Personal development, and maintain ethical practice.

I also offer eco supervision (supervision while walking or sitting outdoors)

Fee £40 per hour

Accessibility

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

Wheelchair user access

I have one room available in Sacriston that is Wheelchair accessible but rooms at Carrville and Chester-le-Street have steps.
